Team Melli Visits U.S. Embassy in Ankara
Team Melli continued its World Cup preparations by completing key visa application steps in Ankara, Turkiye.

Iran national team players visited the U.S. Embassy in Ankara to complete visa procedures for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Team officials and players also went to the Canadian visa application center, where they registered their requests for entry ahead of the tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
After completing the administrative process, the players left the embassy. When asked by a reporter whether the visa process had gone positively, the players responded only with smiles.
Team Melli has been holding its pre-World Cup camp in Antalya since May 19. Mehdi Mohammad Nabi, first vice president of the Iranian Football Federation, had previously said that the squad would travel to Ankara to complete U.S. and Canadian visa procedures.
Some overseas-based players were also expected to join the squad for visa matters and other preparations as Iran continues building toward the World Cup.
